About TSOMDA
"Our Mission: To build industry consensus, facilitate domestic and international cooperation, and promote industrial prosperity and advancement."

The Taiwan Semiconductor & Optronics Materials Devices Association (TSOMDA), established in 2003, is a legally registered non-profit organization.
To accelerate the development of Taiwan’s semiconductor and optronics industries, the Association integrates relevant industry players to promote cross-domain cooperation across the supply chain. Our goal is to enhance international competitiveness, build a more robust market position for these sectors, and strengthen the foundation of Taiwan’s economic development.

Mission of the Age
  • To promote collaboration across the upstream and downstream value chains as well as cross-domain cooperation, in response to technological advancements and emerging application demands.
  • To establish industry–academia–research collaboration mechanisms that leverage the collective strength of the industry.
  • To reflect industry opinions and needs and provide reference for government agencies in formulating and implementing industry-related policies.
  • To facilitate the exchange of domestic and international industry and technology information.
  • To assist in and participate in international activities related to intellectual property standards development, green manufacturing, net-zero carbon initiatives, and the circular economy.
  • To provide consultation and services related to industrial and technological development.
  • To establish and strengthen the foundational infrastructure for technological development in Taiwan’s semiconductor and optoelectronic materials and components industries.
  • To organize and participate in domestic and international conferences and events related to industrial and technological development.
  • To provide members with industry information and networking activities.
  • To undertake R&D and consulting services related to the development of semiconductor and optoelectronic materials and components industries, commissioned by government and private sectors.To promote and implement matters consistent with the Association’s mission, as well as other initiatives approved by resolutions of the General Assembly.
Mission of the Age
Committee
Talent Cultivation Committee
This committee is composed of Human Resources (HR) or Technical Executives from member companies. Its primary mission is to organize foundational and practical technical training courses, helping members build essential domain knowledge. The committee focuses on strengthening corporate talent development to meet the evolving needs of industry growth.
Technical Committee
This committee is composed of Technical or Operations Executives from member companies. Its objective is to host technical seminars and site visits to build industry consensus and formulate forward-looking technological concepts. Furthermore, it works to establish a common technology platform for mid-to-long-term industrial policies and technical trends, facilitating industrial upgrades and diversified development.
Low-Carbon Circular Development Committee
This committee is composed of Strategic Development Executives from member companies. It aims to drive sustainable corporate transformation by providing a collaborative platform for mid-to-long-term low-carbon and circular development. The committee is tasked with providing strategic direction, fostering cooperation, and facilitating exchange, while regularly hosting ESG-related lectures and site visits.
